Mr. Fred Blanks, Sr. formly of Whiteville, NC., passed on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville, NC 27834. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 12 noon at Welches Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Whiteville, NC, Pastor Fredrick Bryant, Rev. George S. Jones, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Welches Creek Cemetery, Whiteville, NC. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020  at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanchie Blanks, children, Leashia Pope, Ebony Blanks, Fredricker Best, and Fred Blanks, Jr., sisters, Ruby Burney, Meretta Wright, Ophelia McKoy and a twin brother, Felton Blanks. A service of Union Funeral Home.  Viewing will be held from 1-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
