Susie White Obituary
Mrs. Susie Geno Lamar Glover-White made transition on Saturday, Oct. 1st 2022 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit, at Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, after a extended illness. She remained strong with her family by her side until God welcomed her into his kingdom. Susie was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 13, 1957, to Ceatrice Baldwin Glover and Hugh Glover, at Women’s Medical Hospital.
Susie graduated from University City High School in 1975 and enlisted in the Army Reserve. She went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse diploma (LPN) at James Martin School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA. She worked at Presbyterian Hospital and then St. Ignatius Nursing Home for many years.
Susie would spend her free time at the Chestnut Place Club House on 40th and Chestnut. This is where Lorenzo and Susie first met.
Susie and Lorenzo White committed their union on Oct 7, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susie is survived by her husband Lorenzo White, Children: Julius Glover (Talina) & Cierra Glover, Stepson- Lacrist White, Grandchildren: Makai, Julius Jr., and Marabella Glover, Anisha, Amont, & Ahzaad White, Siblings: Tamara (Rick Dettmer) & Lionel (Christine Lewis) Baldwin and Shelda & Junious (Lauren) Glover. She also leaves to mourn two special cousins: Marjorie King & Emily Johnson and a host of nieces & nephews.
Burial will be held in Whiteville, NC on Saturday, October 8th.
